Sete - Docking

Jan 17, 2018

It is required that yachts enter this port via the western entrance.

A useful plan of the port area.

The main marina (Port St Claire on Mole St Louis) is right round to port once through the entrance. The Vieux Port is in the canal opposite Mole Saint-Louis.

There is also berthing once through the Nouveau Bassin and the two bridges, in the canal near the train station (Bassin du Midi). This offers the most comfortable, sheltered berths.

It is possible tie-up, free, for a night at the Quai D’Alger if there are no cruise ships in the port. The concession is made for boats supposed to be awaiting the opening of the bridges over the canal leading to the Etang de Thau.

If leaving the boat to over-winter here, be aware of thieves targeting boat electronics and other valuable equipment.
