Description:
This town is a popular family orientated seaside resort about 15nm east of le Lavemdou and 15 miles (by road) from St Tropez.
The port area is alive in the evenings with many street entertainers.
Entrance Notes and Cautions:
In a strong mistral, a swell piles up at the entrance.
Local police have confirmed that there is a local person to the area of Plage de Cavalaire – sur – Mer who objects to vessels taking anchorage in the bay. This person will either cut the anchor lines and allow the boats to drift freely or, as in the case reported by Pantaenius UK, board the vessel and motor away, tying them up to a remote marker buoy a suitable distance away. This similar event happened to three boats in 2019.
