Imperia - Docking

Dec 17, 2016

There is berthing in the modern marina and in the old port; anywhere space can be found! The entrance to marina Porto di Imperia (previously Porto Maurizio) is opposite the Old Town port entrance. Once you are in between them you can choose to either turn east for Old Town or west for the marina at Porto Imperia.

The Old Town port seems to be popular with large motorboats and super-yachts, many wintering there. There is also a fuel berth here.

It is possible to anchor in the shelter of the breakwater to the east of the marina.

It is quite a stiff climb up to the town centre from the old port, but well worth the effort.
