In strong onshore winds, beware of the reflected swell from the long line of breakwaters. The effect extends over 1.6 kms (one mile) out to sea.
A night approach is possible but the number of lights can make it very confusing.
There is a very large choice of berths here. Most are close to the Old Port area which has been revitalised and provides all the shops and services required.
