Take care to avoid the prohibited Naval areas.
The yacht moorings are at the north end of this large harbour at Porto Mercantile. There are two marinas based here. There may also be a berth at Lega Naval on the eastern side of the harbour.

June 10th, 2017. Stayed in Taranto Marina, charges 63 euro for a 14-meter sailboat, incl. vat, power and water. Free wifi by the office only. Bus stop in front of the marina, lots of fresh fish restaurants and shops in the old town, small supermarket close to the marina, big supermarkets in the new town, 1.50 euro by bus one way. Water around Taranto clean, a dolphin swam with us on approach.
