Description:
This port lies on the southwestern coast of Sicily. It is principally a Port of Refuge.
The town has a large number of interesting ancient archaeological sites, but otherwise, is not a particularly attractive port of call. The oil refinery, built here after WW2, and which disfigures the local landscape, has now been closed.
