About 2 miles from Arbatax we had a stuck cooling water pump and no wind at all at 21.00 h. We called Mattanautica, who came to give us a tow immediately. They have lifted the boat, now it is stored at a very good rate for the rest of the year on the hard. I can really recommend them. German spoken.

The fuel dock in Arbatax was open until 8 PM. Be forewarned about the high prices, however. We paid literally 3 times there what we paid in Gibraltar for diesel.
Please be advised that anchoring is now prohibited within a radius of 1.5NM from the light on the end of the seawall at Arbatax, Sardinia. According to the local Caribinieri, a new ordinance (Ufficio Circulation Arbatax 35/2015 dated 15/6/15) is being enforced. On Sunday 9th August 2015, Takamoana (and 3 other yachts) were fined €100.00 for anchoring in a prohibited zone. Takamoana was anchored at least 600 yards outside the prohibited zone described in UK Notices to Mariners 4035/2012 (Italian Notice 15.12/12).

Baunei , Sardinia;staff insensitive and obtuse ; after agale with a cooling engine problem we repair in the little site for travel lift our boat, far and without interference with commercial marina decks; the commercial staff did not listen any of our explanations for our problems and are waiting for boat lifting and they claimed for rate mooring without any services;
we were forced to leave the port with rough sea…..
