Anchorages

There is a small anchorage area available in front of the town, but it is completely exposed to any weather from the west to the north.

Marinas:

The new marina encloses a large area within its overlapping breakwaters. There are three pontoons, one of which is for recreational boaters.

The Abrolhos Islands

Written notice must be given to the Department of Fisheries at the Dongara or Geraldton district offices (phone for further details) of boats intending to visit the islands between 15 July and 20 February the following year. Visiting boats must carry enough food, fresh water, and fuel to last the length of the intended visit. Boats must be fitted with communication devices and waste-disposal storage and equipment. There are a limited number of public mooring available at the Islands.
