Description:
Whyalla is centered around the iron ore smelters and steelworks, with fishing and tourism as well. It is the largest South Australian city outside of Adelaide. It lies near the head of the Spencer Gulf, on the eastern side of the Eyre Peninsula.

Docking
The Whyalla Foreshore Marina is situated under Hummocky Hill and the entrance is hard to find at night. Not in the most attractive surroundings.
The yacht club is based at the marina.
