Description:
This port is the major gateway for arrivals by sea of both goods and people into Tasmania. It is on the north coast of the Island, facing across the Bass Strait.
In June 2016 the Mersey Yacht Club suffered significant storm damage sadly losing their marina pontoon berths and most of their boats, which were washed down the Devonport River.
