Anchoring and Mooring Options for Robe:

It is not recommended to approach this port without good charts as there are many reefs around this coast.  In addition, locals advise to avoid sailing through this area at night and in less than 100 metres of water from the months of October to May due to the number of crayfish pots and nets.

It is possible to anchor off the town to the south of the harbor entrance in settled weather, but cruisers who have sailing this coast recommend staying in the marina where you'll be warmly welcomed by the local sailing community.

Lake Butler Marina

The Lake Butler Marina comprises of 100 recreational berths and 40 commercial berths.  Casual moorings are available.  Some berths have individual power and water supply, while other berths have shared supply.

Contact the District Council of Robe Office or the Harbour Master (+64 (0)8 8768 2003) to confirm availability of berths.
