There is a good re-fuelling facility inside Mackay Marina. Call the marina office on VHF16 for assistance.
New gas bottles and propane refills are available from the marina office. Note that Australian fittings are 1-inch reverse (left hand) thread, and will not fit European bottles. American and some Scandinavian bottles will fit. It has proved almost impossible to buy or have made conversion fittings for gas in Mackay, so make sure you arrive with lots of gas or have a solution already planned!
