Description:
This is a large lagoon lying about 30nm east of Venice and is similar to the Venitian lagoon being an area of relatively shallow water interspersed with many islands. The resort of Lignano Sabbiadoro lies at the western end and Grado and the eastern end of the string of islands which protect the lagoon from the Adriatic.
At the eastern side is a tourist destination of Grado.
