Description:

The Gold Coast area of Queensland which lies south of Brisbane, includes the marina facilities of Southport and a number of marinas within the Broadwater - an area of protected waters between South Stradbroke Island and the mainland.

Entrance Notes or Cautions:

Two navigable channels connect this area with southern Moreton Bay, accessible to vessels of 2m draft and 22m height. The ocean is accessible through the Gold Coast Seaway, navigable in all except extreme swell conditions.

Position:

28°1′S, 153°24′E.

Nearby coverage includes: Scarborough and northern Moreton Bay, Brisbane and the Brisbane River, Manly and southern Moreton Bay.
