Spain - Emergencies

Oct 12, 2025

The Coastguards in Spain speak English and respond both to telephone and VHF calls. The lifeboats however are contracted from private firms, so rescue will involve a charge, generally calculated as cost per hour. Life rescue is of course free and immediately put in action in case of emergency.

  • Emergency telephone:112
  • Coast Guard Emergency Telephone: 900 202 202
  • VHF:16
