One boatyard (Dimstef Marine Services) lies 1.6 kms (one mile) southwest of Oreoi port, between Néo Pirgos and Oreoi.
They have good offers for wintering your boat here. Boatyard services will come to the harbor in case of repairs. The owner speaks good English.
Buses to Athens bus station pass by the yard three times a day. The trip takes 3.5 hours. The bus takes the ferry at Loutra Edipsou to Arkitsa and then the highway to Athens. The ferry trip takes about one hour.
Another Boatyard (Evia Boat Yard) is located on the south shore of northern Evia opposite the mainland, between Chalkida and Loutra Edipsou just outside of the town of Limni. They offer long and short-term boat storage. Liveaboards are welcome while supervising work done or carrying out own work. Apartments available free of charge for two days and longer at discounted rate. Free transport to/from Loutra Edipsou and Chalkida bus station or Aidipsous ferry station. Greek, Dutch, German, and English spoken.
On the mainland coast, directly opposite (south of) Eretria, lies Oropos - an open bay and the mainland ferry terminal for Eretria. Oropos houses two boatyards familiar with cruising yachts.
