Milos - Customs

May 05, 2022

Description:

This island is the most westerly of the southern Cyclades.

Like Thira, Milos is the remains of an ancient volcano with a circular mountain ridge encircling the bay. Hot sulfur springs still exist here.

The island is popular with young Greek tourists but still manages to retain its tranquility. It is the home of the original statue of the Venus de Milo (one of the best-known pieces of ancient Greek sculpture).

Position:

36° 43.44'N, 24° 26.99'E (Adamantas harbor)
