The snorkeling is good here with a number of caves to explore.
The Christian catacombs from the 1st to 3rd century where about 2000 people were buried are definitely worth a visit as are several other archaeological excavation sites on the island.
There is a Mining Museum to the NW of the town.
The old "Chora" up on the hill is worth a visit and offers great views across the bay.
