All yachts should wait in the fairway by buoy no. 12 and call on VHF 14 for permission to enter the harbour.

Berthing is in the marina at the southern end of the harbour.  It is also advisable to call ahead to the marina and a berth will be allocated, otherwise berth at pontoon A and go to the office. Access to pontoons controlled by Pin code.

The marina is about a 20-minute walk from the town centre.

There is a bar and restaurant at the harbour.

I was wintering in Troon in 2015 and it must be the most sheltered marina on the west coast of Scotland. Even in force 11 storms, there was no swell at all. Marina is also extremely well run and if you plan to keep the boat on the west coast look no further. This is the place.

I can also give +1 to West Coast Marine Services. They can do everything on a boat and are very professional. Just mind that you need to book them a few months in advance as their services are in very high demand.
