Kassandra Peninsula - General Info
Description:
A long, narrow peninsula on the eastern side of the Gulf of Thermai, the Kassandra Peninsula is the most western of the three “fingers” of the much larger Khalkidhiki Peninsula to the north. (The others being the Sinthonia and Akti Peninsulas).
It is connected to the mainland by a sliver of land just 0.8 kms (half a mile) wide. This is bisected by a waterway, the Portas Canal.
