There are countless anchorages in the Pensacola and Pensacola Beach area. Almost everywhere is viable, but make the decision based on prevailing winds and traffic. The low-lying islands offer little protection from winds, but small coves and bays still allow for good wave protection. The bottom is silt or sand with little vegetation.
