Description:
Pensacola is more than just another coastal vacation town. It is rife with historical interest as well as modern military aviation. The Blue Angels – a U.S. Navy stunt-jet team – is based here.
South of downtown is the National Naval Aviation Museum, which is a favorite of many cruisers. The Pensacola Lighthouse is directly adjacent to the museum. Both are situated at the Naval Air Station.
Across from the Naval Air Station is Fort Pickens, situated on the barrier island. It is possible to anchor and visit the fort.
