Puerto de Soller (Mallorca) - Fees

Jan 04, 2017

Description:

Puerto de Soller is the only protected anchorage along the exposed northwestern coast of Mallorca. Sailing along this coast in the right conditions is very worthwhile as the views of the mountains are exceptional.

The anchorage and the marina offer good protection inside a spectacular horseshoe-shaped bay, with pine trees up the hillsides. The bay is easy to enter in most weather conditions.

It can get very crowded in the summer months (August is probably best avoided) and the SW end of the bay is open to the NW.

Soller is a pleasant tourist port with beaches, shops and restaurants. The town of Soller is linked to the port by a vintage tramway and there still runs a Victorian train line from Soller to Palma, a worthwhile excursion if you have time.

Position:

39° 48' N, 002° 41' E (entrance to the bay)
