Puerto de Soller (Mallorca) - Docking

Jan 04, 2017

There are several berthing options now in Puerto de Soller in the NE part of the bay.

Visiting yachts can tie up in Marina Tramontana (which can get busy in high season) tucked well up inside the NE corner of the bay. This costs a lot more than the IB pontoons.

Alternatively, visiting yachts can rent a space on the new floating pontoons run by Ports IB on the approaches to the marina at the end of the beach. During July and August (high season) reservations must be made in advance, online (see details below). Out of season (normally at the beginning of October), the floating pontoon is removed, greatly reducing options in this harbour for visiting yachts. Berth on the NE side as the SW side is for local fishing boats.

It is also possible to anchor in the middle of the sheltered bay in 5-10m. The bottom here can be weedy in places and you may well drag in strong winds, so spend some time looking for a decent spot.

Most of the moorings here are too small for the average cruising yacht, however, if you are small it may be worth enquiring if you can rent one.

The anchorage to the west of the port is now full of mooring buoys.
