YachtFlags.com provides high quality courtesy flags that are manufactured in durable Knitted Polyester fabric. Knitted so that the fabric itself does not deteriorate in the constant movement that marine flags are usually exposed to, and polyester so that the flag does not weaken in the strong UV-light usually found in the main sailing areas of the world.

For full details on clearance into and out of Malaysia see Malaysia Formalities.
There is only one walk-on marina (Sutera Harbour Marina) and various public anchorages where one can moor the boat before proceeding into town to visit the various offices.
See this document for office addresses and useful tips when checking in. When using the Jabatan Laut Malaysia Ship Clearance System, make sure you select Kota Kinabalu as your "Operation Port".
Sutera Harbour Marina are no longer able to offer CIQP clearance for international visitors, as electronic finger-printing is now required to be done by Immigration officials.
Immigration, Customs and Port Health are all conveniently located in the Sabah Ports Authority building on Jalan Tanjung Lipat at Jesselton Point, but with different entrances. If using the Grab app, use KKC Show Gallery as the destination as the building which contains these offices is just next to the Gallery. Located a 10-minute walk NE from the Mercure Hotel on the coastal road named Jalan Tun Fuad Stephen, keep to the left when the road divides and the building is on your left. Immigration is on the right side of the building. Customs and Port Health entrances are at the front of the building.
The main immigration building at Jalan UMS does not deal with yachts unless you are applying for a visa extension.
The Immigration Department is open Monday to Sunday from 0800 to 1700.
The Customs office is open Monday to Sunday from 0800 to 1630. Closed on Public Holidays.
Located approximately 26km north of Kota Kinabalu and the Sutera Harbour Marina. You can take a taxi which will be expensive (ask the taxi to wait for you) or use the Grab app or you can take a combination of public buses and minivans, first to the hyper mall One Borneo and then to your destination. If using Grab, use Jabatan Laut Sabah as your destination.
The office is open Monday to Friday from 0900 to 1700. Closed on Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays.
There are no charges at any of these departments although money for the price of the form may be requested.
Clearing Out
If you are leaving the state of Sabah it is the same but in reverse order. Sailing within the state of Sabah only requires a simple port clearance from the Jabatan Laut, nothing from Customs or Immigration.
Note: If you are going to Labuan after leaving Kota Kinabalu, you must still clear out at K.K. and then clear in at Labuan as the latter is considered a Malaysian Federal Territory and treated differently to Sabah.
