The Venetian fort above the town is very interesting and worth visiting.
A good place from which to organize a visit by hire car (30 mins drive) or taxi to Ano Englianos and the ancient Mycenaean city of Pilos, believed to be King Nestor's. One of the best-preserved sites of a Mycenaean palace.
