Description:
Othonoi is the largest of the three Diapontian Islands located 12NM to the west-northwest of Cape Drastis, Corfu. It is a rocky island with lots of olive trees and beautiful beaches. Once there were also many pine trees and cypresses here but wood export plus a major fire means that much of the original forest has been destroyed.
Legend has it that Othonoi houses the cave where Calypso kept Ulysses captive.
