Docking:
Ther are four options for berthing in or near to Corfu town: Mandraki harbour; NAOK yacht club harbour; the commercial harbour or Gouvia Marina to the NW of the town (see related businesses below for details of each one).
Port Mandraki, the old harbour below the fortress/citadel, is under the authority of the Corfu Sailing Club and offers the best shelter with the most spectacular setting (see photo below). It is shallow, so go bows-to and be sure to pull yourself well off the quay with the laid lines, as there tends to be a lot of wake here from passing commercial traffic and it can get choppy in strong northerlies.

The commercial harbour/town quay is free, but is silting up so pick your spot carefully as depth is restricted in places. There is no security on the town quay and it can be noisy and smelly. You might find a space in the east basin, but this should only really be used if wanting to be close to Customs and Immigration for clearance.
NAOK yacht club harbour is on the south side of the citadel and is protected by a breakwater. This harbour is shallow (max. depth 2.5-3m) and has no water or electricity. There is reported to be chain on the bottom lying across the harbor, so take care when using your anchor.
Gouvia Marina is a few kilometres north of the city and details can be found on the Gouvia port page.
Anchoring:
There is an anchorage south of the port in the bay, Ormos Garitsas (just south of NAOK yacht club harbour). Good shelter from the NW, but open to the east and south. Here, there is shelter from the prevailing winds and the holding is good (take care to avoid the seagrass patches). It is nice for swimming here. When going ashore, tie your dinghy to the Mayor's stairs or leave it in the Naok YC marina.
Yachts can also anchor just east of NAOK yacht club harbour under the citadel walls. For extra security take a line ashore. Good holding in sand and weed in depths of 3-5m.
