YachtFlags.com provides high quality courtesy flags that are manufactured in durable Knitted Polyester fabric. Knitted so that the fabric itself does not deteriorate in the constant movement that marine flags are usually exposed to, and polyester so that the flag does not weaken in the strong UV-light usually found in the main sailing areas of the world.

Beware of strong gusts when approaching this island. The Port of Karpathos (Pigadhia) is on the eastern side of the island.
Moor to the mole in the SW corner of the harbor. There is nearly always some surge here and many of the moored boats will have springs out.
Karpathos and eastern Crete are affected by near gale or gale force winds from the northwest a lot of the time. The many windmills on the ridges and windsurfing resorts in Karpathos indicate the Greeks are well aware of this despite no mention of it in the cruising guides.
Anchorages
Amorfos - Sandy seabed, good protection from the winds.
Diafani Bay (NE of Island) - Small port, sandy seabed with rocks. Difficult at night. Good anchorage from which to visit Olympos.
Finiki (SW of Island) - Small port. Good protection from the Meltemi (WNW) wind.
Makrys Yalos - Sandy seabed. Good protection from the Meltemi.
Saria - Moderate protection from the Meltemi.
Tristomo Bay (N. point) - Good protection from the Meltemi.
