Cooking gas bottles can be filled at the boatyard.
Fuel can be obtained at the Mobil Station in Tahauku Bay, open Monday to Friday 0730-1200 and 1430-1800, Saturday 0730-1200 selling both diesel and petrol/gas. The fuel station has its own dock with a long enough hose for diesel supplies.
However, because of the continuous surge and the shallow water, a yacht should not be brought to this jetty although a dinghy could be used to fill jerry cans.
As this is the only station on the island there are lots of cars going into Atuona, so this is a good place to get a lift, especially when the station opens for business.
Make sure you have your duty-free papers to benefit from the tax-free price.
