There are public phones in many locations including the port. They accept local telephone cards (usually sold at various shops).

There is a local GSM network (Vini) but if your own server doesn't have a roaming agreement with Vini, SIM cards can be bought at the Atuona post office, and are valid throughout French Polynesia.

The post and telephone office, located in the center of Atuona, has an internet/email terminal. It also accepts faxes (open 0700-1200, 1230-1500 Monday to Thursday, 0700-1200, 1230-1400 Friday).

Hiva Oa Yacht Services provides WiFi internet access.

Manaspot operates here. Find out more here. Cards for manaspot can be purchased at the post office, but there is no reception in the port so you must use it in the village.

There is Wifi internet service in the harbor operated by Iaoranet (more info. here).

Hanakee Lodge offers WiFi access if you dine there for one of their meal specials either lunch during the week or brunch on Sunday.
