St. Augustine - Docking

Jun 01, 2018

Care must be exercised when navigating in the St. Augustine area – especially after Hurricane Matthew (Oct 2016) – as there are shoaling and out-of-place buoys and channel markers. Also, be aware of large pipes used for dredging. Keep to the channel and do not cut corners, and be aware of strong tides running across the harbor entrance.

Apart from the marinas, there are two main anchorages; the Bridge of Lions and Salt Run. Both places are offered a free twice-weekly pump-out service. Anchoring is limited to 10 days at a time without special permission.
