Key Biscayne - Immigration

Sep 01, 2016

Description:

Key Biscayne is an island and city in Miami-Dade County, Florida. It is located immediately south of Miami Beach and connected to the City of Miami via the Rickenbacker Causeway, a 5.5-mile long bridge.

Key Biscayne is a favorite first stop for many cruising sailors coming up from the Caribbean, but clearance/immigration procedures must first be handled at the nearby Miami Seaport.

Like the rest of southern Florida, Key Biscayne maintains summertime temperatures year-round, but it is often the first of the surrounding area to be evacuated when Atlantic hurricanes approach.

Position:

25° 43.53'N, 80° 09.52'W (Crandon marina)
