Moorings
Moorings can hold a vessel with a maximum boat length of `6.7 meters (55 ft) except moorings in St. Mary’s Cove under Spa Creek Bridge, where the maximum boat length is 10.6 meters. (35 ft).
Spa Creek has plenty of mooring buoys (white with a blue ring). Once you have found an available mooring, call the Harbor Master on VHF Channel 17 (or telephone) and they will take payment. In high season there is a patrol boat that comes to take payment.
In season there is a water taxi (call on VHF Channel 68). Dinghies (maximum 5.1 meters/17 ft) may be docked at Kunte Kinte-Alex Haley Memorial Park at the foot of Main Street. There are security cameras in the Harbour Master’s office that look out onto the entrance to Kunte Kinte alley. Public toilets below this office.
Call the pump out boat on VHF Channel 17 or 410-320-6852.
The anchoring area in Back Creek may be restricted in future as applications by various marinas to prevent anchoring in their vicinity are being considered.

Annapolis – Spa Creek
22nd -25th October 2018
Out of season, so it was empty. Plenty of mooring buoys. They are white with a blue ring around. Pick up the buoy, thread your rope through the eye on the end then radio ( VHF 17) or ring the harbour master office and they will take your credit card details. Not sure if the water taxi was running, it was very calm so we just took the dinghy down to Knute Kitty Alley. There are security cameras in the harbourmasters office that look out onto the entrance to Kunty Kitty alley. Public toilets below the harbourmasters office. We toured the Navy Academy and it was excellent, 10am and 2pm are the tour times, or you can walk around on your own .Mike was our guide and he was excellent.
We took the commuter bus to Washington. Operated by this companyhttp://www.dillonbus.com/scheduledinfo.asp The 220 of 230 go to Washington. We took the latest bus ( 7.26 am ) from West street and Calvert Street. Check the timetable on the council website. The buses are actually coaches and are either blue or they are white US coaches . You may need to flag it down. $5 each. Excellent value, takes you right into Washington DC, we arrived at 9am. They return later in the afternoon. Be careful on the return journey, some of the 230 buses don’t go down West Street.
