Cruiser Network:
To connect with other cruisers, there is a weekly coffee hour from 11 a.m. to about 1:00 p.m. on Wednesdays at Kahve Dunyasi near Netsel Marina’s shore side entry. It is a meeting place for newcomers, landlubbers and sailors. During the Covid-19 lockdown Netsel Marina’s “Sailors Point” lounge became more popular as a substitute for alternative entertainment, with its library, large screen television and DVD films, microwave, refrigerator and other home-like amenities.

Mobile Phones:
Telephone companies are TurkCell, Vodafon, Turkish Telecom, Avea.
All foreign phones require registration after about 2 weeks of use. Telephone companies in Marmaris sell Turkish sim cards and can answer any of questions re usage in Turkey. In addition, second-hand telephones may be purchased at shops called Cep Hastane (pocket phone hospital). One such shop is across from the large Defacto clothing store in Marmaris town pedestrian walk.
Internet:
Wi-Fi is complimentary in marinas and restaurants. It is usually free in restaurants while dining or stopping for a coffee or other drink. In addition, internet cafes are inexpensive and are located in Marmaris. Personal modems and internet services can be purchased in town.
