Algeciras - Restrictions

May 04, 2023

Description:

Algeciras is a large, industrial city on the west side of Gibraltar Bay, just a few miles from the Rock of Gibraltar. There is a large commercial and ferry port, with fast ferries running between Tangier in Morocco.

It is a port of entry, however most cruising boats go to La Linea, on the eastern side of the Bay for clearance and berthing.

There are several marinas here south of the commercial port, the Real Club Nautico de Algeciras being the largest offering good shelter in all but strong SE winds.

Official Tourist Board website.

Position:

36° 7.02'N, 05° 25.82'W (marina de Algerciras)
