Ria De Ribadeo - Docking

Aug 28, 2018

Club Nautico de Ribadeo is a comfortable marina with plenty of space for visitors. It is situated on the west side of the Ria, under the bridge (clearance 30m), but the visitors' berths (alongside the outer mole) are subject to some swell. A 35-ton travel lift and dry dock space make this a possible winter dry dock location.

There are also anchorages north of the bridge, on the east side of the Ria, although all are affected by the swell. Off Castropol one can anchor in the main channel downstream of the buoys. It is possible to attach to the quay in 1-2m. Restaurant and showers next to the sailing club on the quay.

South of the bridge, it is possible to anchor off Figueras in 2m opposite the beach. Take care as the approach channel is shallow.

A more sheltered alternative is at the new marina at Viveiro, 30 NM to the west.
