Ria De Cedeira - Docking
The best anchorage is 500m east of the fishing port but takes care, the holding can be uncertain due to weed. Keep clear of the numerous small boat moorings. The anchorage is a good size and offers excellent shelter.
It is possible to land alongside the old quay for re-fuelling (1.5-2m). This is also a convenient dinghy landing and the Red Cross post here shows weather information and has a water tap. It’s a 10-minute walk into town from here.
There were plans to build a larger marina at the old quay, however, 7 years on no construction has started.

Beautiful bay surrounded by hills and trees. Good anchorage with not much swell and good holding. No facilities.
When asked, you can get water from the sailing club but it’s not cheap: 400liters for €10,-. There’s a little gas station but only gasoline and for locals. Two supermarkets within 10 minutes walk, gas station 30 minutes walk. You can leave your dinghy at the pontoon from the sailing club.
Addendum: Rumored marina has not materialized yet.
Good spacious anchorage and excellent shelter. Great spot to finish our 4 day Biscay crossing and rest and recuperate away from the hustle and bustle of A Coruña. Much better sheltered from NW swell too. Didn’t go ashore here.
