Denia - Activities, Attractions & Shopping

Feb 02, 2016

Denia has a beautiful 17th century Church of Santa Maria. If you visit the castle, you will also be able to see its archaeological museum. Open 10.30am to 1 pm and 3 pm to 6 pm; closed Thursdays.

The coastline is made up of fine beaches - try the Cabo de San Antonio and the Cabo de la Nao, and enjoy the journey between them, through cliffs, mountains and coves.

There is golf at the 18-hole club de Golf La Sella at Partida Alqueria de Fernando.

One festival particular to Denia is held in the second week in July in honour of Santisima Sangre. During which is held Boux del Mar. The bull is not killed but driven into the water.

A bonfire festival is celebrated in March, when the large paper mache statues, which have been set up in the town are set alight.
