Description:
An excellent stopover roughly 100 sea miles west of Yokohama. Shimizu is well-placed as a base for land travel with a JR Train station and easy transfer to the Shinkansen in nearby Shizuoka. On clear days nearby Mt. Fuji dominates the skyline.
While this is a port of entry, it is not recommended for yacht arrivals. See Japan Clearance for a list of recommended ports of entry/exit.
