Puerto Colon - Boatyards

Oct 25, 2018

The marina runs a well-organized repair yard (open 0900-1500 Monday to Friday, 0900-1300 Saturday) with a 30-ton travel lift, with a 4.5-meter beam and 10-meter depth in the pen. There is a slipway which can take boats up to a maximum of 20m in length, 5 m depth and 2.5 m width. Owners are allowed to do their own work in the designated work area. No work is allowed on boats in the marina, particularly sanding or any other work which causes either dirt or noise.

In the yard, various subcontractors have their own workshops. A short distance inland from Puerto Colon is the small town Arona, where various workshops are based. For carpentry, contact Juan R. Quintero at Villa Isabel 6-8, Calle Fuerteventura. Rosquet SL at La Peraza, La Camella Mona, and Aluminos del Sur, also at La Camella Arona, both undertake metalwork and welding
