Marina:

The harbor is protected by a large, breakwater making the entrance very safe, even with a large westerly swell. This breakwater also minimizes any the swell entering the marina.

It is advisable to call the marina on VHF Ch 09 before entering, after which it is usual to be directed to a berth on one of the finger pontoons. Otherwise take a berth on the reception pontoon, co-located with the fuel pontoon on the port side on entering the marina.

This modern marina – Puerto Tazacorte – has 360 berths, a fuel dock, restaurants and bars, CCTV and comfortable bathrooms. The boatyard employs a 50-tonne hoist and is one of the only marinas in the Canaries to have significant space for hard-standing. Located on the sunny side of the island, the marina is next to a large beach and just 20 minutes’ walk to the town of Tazacorte.
