Directly north of Cape St Francis on the eastern side of the Cape St Francis peninsula is the small harbour of St. Francis Bay on South Africa's south coast.
Port St. Francis is roughly midway between Port Elizabeth and Knysna and is the only harbour of refuge between those two ports.
This protected harbour was built for the chokka industry (squid) so is predominantly used by commercial fishing fleets, however, there are provisions for recreational vessels. With just a few shops and restaurants, walking trails and some good nearby surf spots, it is a safe and secluded spot.
