Fuel is available at El Cid Marina or Marina Fonatur. Extreme caution should be used when navigating to the Fonatur fuel dock. Keep between the buoys or you'll end up on the sticky muddy bottom!

It is best to enter the channel leading to the marinas at high tide, and slack tide as currents can be very strong- up to 4 kts. Even at high tide we saw down to 13′ over the bar. Easiest fuel dock to access is El Cid, but beware of currents. Marina Mazatlan is in good condition, though some security gates don’t work. Showers are good and there are plenty of restaurants in the area. Air-conditioned buses are 10 pesos into the city- look for “Sabalo Centro”
