Docking
Puerto Escondido Baja is one of two true hurricane anchorages in the Sea of Cortez.
Moorings and Anchorage:
This protected bay is an anchorage with an average depth of about 3m. Unfortunately, the small harbor just outside the marina entrance, commonly known as “The Waiting Room”, is now off-limits to yachts wishing to anchor.
There are a number of recently upgraded mooring balls available.
Marina:
The Marina here is approached through a narrow canal and offers very protected berthing with a new breakwater and depths dredged in the entrance channel to 12ft at low tide. On-site is dry storage, a 50-ton travelift and repair services. More details on their website.
Marina Puerto Escondido lies just 24 kms (15 miles) south of Loreto.
