Cozumel - Fees

Jan 19, 2025

Description:

Cozumel is low lying coral island that is 48 kms (29.8 miles) from north to south and 14.8 kms (9.1 miles) from east to west, located about 10 kms (6.2 kms) off the east coast of Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula. It is Mexico’s third largest island and the clear turquoise waters make it popular with divers.

San Miguel is the only town on the island and it is located about midway along the west coast. The anchorage here is an open roadstead but there are two protected harbours.

Cruiser Highlights:

Clearance in and out of Mexico; diving; provisioning; fuel and water; restaurants and bars.

See Cozumel Clearance and Mexico Clearance for additional information.

Entrance notes or cautions:

The yacht harbours can be difficult to enter in bad weather—but navigation buoys are well-maintained.

Position:

20° 29.02'N, 86° 58.46'W (San Miguel)
