Arrecife (Marina Lanzarote) - Activities, Attractions & Shopping

Oct 25, 2022

If you’re wanting to ride a camel, this is the place to do it - you get a fairly decent camel ride (around 20 minutes) up and around some of the volcanic area.

In the marina is a bakery, a little fruit market on Saturday and there are some chandleries near the marina.

Three kms from the marina is an IKEA, a big electronic shop and a LIDL supermarket. You can reach them by car or walking. The Hyperdino and Mercadona supermarkets in town will bring your shopping to the Marina if it cost more than 60 Euros.

It is well worth visiting the houses of the artist Cesar Manrique (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/C%C3%A9sar_Manrique) who had a major influence on the planning regulations for Lanzarote Island, and the national park - Parque Timanfaya - and the wonderful beaches at Papagayo.

The volcano bus day tour is a good way to see some of the island - particularly the volcanic rock.
