Anchoring:
There is good anchorage in 6m with reasonable holding on sand and rock to the east of the marina. This anchorage is considered to be the best of the anchorages around Gran Canaria. The shelter is good in the prevailing NE conditions but can be untenable in strong S or SE winds. Dinghies can be left for short periods on the reception pontoon.
Marina:
The marina reception berth is located at on what appears to be an island and is 90° to it. The marina should not be entered without approval from the harbormaster.
The marina is noted for being well kept and surrounded by landscaped gardens as part of a hotel complex. Most of the berths are reserved so it is essential to make a reservation in advance. Security is reported to be excellent.
