Subic Bay - Docking

Jun 30, 2023

Marinas:

The Subic Bay Yacht Club was developed as a world-class resort.  While this is a private member club, they will accommodate visitors and offer a "Term Membership" for one year which provides membership rates and privileges, renewable three times.  This will be a benefit to cruisers who want to stay here a while.  Proof of insurance (3rd party) is required.

For short-term berthing at SBYC rates are reported to be high (e.g. US$110/day for a 12.6m catamaran with a minimum of threes days - June 2023), plus a cash security deposit must be paid which is returned on departure.  See the current Marina Berthing Rates here.

Watercraft's small marina (next door to the Yacht Club in the tax-free zone in the former US naval Base) is reported to be full of residents with few, if any, visitor berths available. Charges are reported to be the same as the Yacht Club.

Anchoring:

Moorings are no longer available at Blue Rock Resort but it is a great place to anchor and provides excellent steak dinners according to cruiser reports.

It is possible to anchor near Grande Island when waiting for clearance.  However, you may have to anchor where directed by officials.

Moving within the Harbor:

All harbor movements require Coast Guard approval who then seek permission from the General Manager of Seaport - so advance notice is required.
