Subic Bay - Activities, Attractions & Shopping

Jun 30, 2023

Scuba wreck diving is a big attraction here and there is also some good trekking in the jungle around Subic Bay. The area is teeming with local wildlife.

The Subic Bay Ocean Adventure is aimed at education on the issues facing the marine environment and how you can make a difference. Conservation is a running theme with the additional aim of replacing and propagating corals and invertebrates to encourage self-sustainability. If you have the time, it is worth a visit. Dolphins, false killer whales and seals are all kept in natural sea pens in Subic Bay. The park also has numerous aquariums with local invertebrates and marine fish species.

Zoobic Safari is a 15-hectare site where is it possible to get close to tigers in an almost natural environment. There are 12 large tigers that roam around a large enclosure. A converted jeepney is used to take you on a safari through the park. Apart from the tigers, there is a Serpentarium, which is full of an array of reptiles, ranging from all types of lizards, snakes both venomous and non-venomous, turtles and crocodiles. Other areas have grazing mammals and flightless birds, ostriches and emus. But the main attraction is the tigers.
